BIOGRAPHY

Reverend Erinna McKissick Hinds is a Saginaw native and a proud product of Saginaw public schools. She graduated magna cum laude in 2007 from the School of Communications at Howard University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism. In May of 2014, she graduated magna cum laude from Cornerstone University in Grand Rapids, MI with a Master of Arts in Ministry Leadership. For almost 10 years, she was employed as the Senior Director of Ministries at Victorious Believers Ministries Church of God in Christ in Saginaw, MI, where she also served as the Leadership Coordinator for the ministry. She is an experienced leadership strategist with 16+ years in coaching, supervision, and training for educational and non-profit organizations globally. Considered to be an engaging and transparent public speaker and motivator, Rev. Hinds has been called on to minister in various capacities internationally and has served in full-time ministry for the last 18 years. Rev. Hinds is the founder of EM Ministries and the CEO of EM Enterprises LLC. 

In addition, Rev. Hinds is a member of the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services Office of Child Support Advisory Council. She is also a domestic relations mediator with a passion for providing divorced and separated families with the resources needed to effectively navigate conflict, change, and trauma. As an advocate and survivor, Rev. Hinds continues to help create awareness in the faith-based community about the generational effects of emotional spousal abuse and to support victims of domestic violence. In July 2018, Rev. Hinds published her first book “Leaving Egypt: From Trauma to Triumph” and released her debut short film titled “When Daughters Cry” to help spark candid conversations about the history of divorce, abuse and theology in the Black church. She is also the owner of The Divorce Preacher Family Mediation Services; a faith-based consulting service that specializes in domestic wellness by providing mediation, coaching programs, and support for separated and divorcing families.

Rev. Hinds has spent the last two decades dedicated to living a life of servant-leadership and believes in the importance of giving back. She is a community mediator for Citizens Mediation in St. Joseph, MI, where she mediates divorce, child access, and child support cases. She is also a member of the Michigan Health Improvement Alliance Financial Stability Committee, an affiliate of the State Bar of Michigan Alternative Dispute Resolution Section, a member of Leadership Saginaw County Class of 2024, as well as the co-founder of A Life for A Life Urban Initiative. In addition, Rev. Hinds serves as the Managing Partner and Lead for Global Partnership and Engagement for the Passionate Africa Leadership Institute in Ghana, West Africa. Ever committed to empowering youth and families, in 2020, she published her first children’s book “Robert Reads”, (co-authored by her son) to help shed light on the importance of promoting literacy in urban communities and the devastating effects of the school-to-prison pipeline.

Over the years, Rev. Hinds has received several awards recognizing her work throughout her career. In 2017, she was honored by the National Sorority of Phi Delta Kappa Gamma Kappa Chapter in Saginaw for her community service and “Leading in Ministry.” In 2019, she was given the Woman of the Year Award by Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. Zeta Omega Zeta Graduate Chapter in Saginaw. In 2019, she was a recipient of the “40 Under 40 Award” for young trailblazers and influencers given by the Church of God in Christ, Inc; the largest Pentecostal denomination in the United States. In 2023, she received the “Shero Award” from the Women’s Empowerment Tea Founders in Saginaw. In 2024, she was recognized by 1st State Bank as one of the Great Lakes Bay Region’s brightest professionals under the age of 40 and was selected as one of the 19th annual Ruby Award recipients.

Above all, Rev. Hinds’ ultimate and most sincere desire is to remain a humble and faithful disciple of Jesus Christ. Her favorite scripture and life’s inspiration is Jeremiah 29:11. Indisputably, Rev. Hinds says that her greatest achievement in life has been her unwavering commitment to her family; her loving husband, Robert, and her two amazing children, her precious daughter, Mayah and her delightful son, Joshua.
